Dear Blog, It's not you. It's me.

Not sure why the words aren't coming so easily these days. Well, actually, that's not true. I'm pretty sure I know exactly why. My mind and heart have been caught up in some matters that aren't blogable and I've never been very good at blogging-as-usual when my heart and mind are elsewhere. It turns out that my mind and heart are key players in this writing thingie I do. (I shouldn't have typed that out; they're going to come begging for a raise.)

Anyhoodle, I'm going to try harder to get both of them on board to keep up here. Because I miss this. I miss you.

In other news, did I tell you that I'm headed out of town next month? In fact, I'm headed out of state, country, time zone, and foods I'm familiar with. I'm going to cross an ocean, people. And--get this--I'm flying alone. Eeek!

But all of that is a story for another day. It's late now and I'm going to retire. But I promise I'll be back. You'll be here, won't you?

Hope it all goes well! (The travel, and the heart and mind thing too.)

I'm sorry your heart and mind are preoccupied with unblogable things. I'm thinking about you! As for your upcoming trip, I can only say how jealous I am and how I wish we were coming with you guys! Can you imagine the fun we would have? And the things we would eat and eat? Enjoy it and bring lots of pictures and stories back to share. Please.

I hear you! Good luck with everything and let me know if you need travel/flight tips. I fly solo all the time - as a matter of fact, I just did last night. :)
The worst part is dragging your luggage into the bathroom stall.

Of course I'll be here, and I really want to know where you're going.

I may be doing the same thing in six months. I am already planning on visiting Matt in Kuwait in the Spring (please let it be the spring, I don't think I could take a Middle Eastern summer). I have to think about planning this trip or I will think about the fact that he is leaving for a year and I will break down and cry. Really.

Since I happen to love your mom, might I suggest white pepples, not bread crumbs. If you will remember your Hansel and Gretl, birds eat bird crumbs, and you know where that led....just saying. Have fun and come back safe. Robin M.

I hope you have a super fantabulous time, and that there are plenty of signs in english in the airports. Otherwise, may I suggest that you carry cue cards with pictures of suitcases, and toilets. That ought to get you pointed in the right direction. :)

PS- I hope Ryan isn't opening any of his lectures with Polack jokes.
