It's Always Good to Clarify

At Max's demand request, I wrote a short wish list this morning for Christmas. He was reading over my shoulder.

"What does number two say?" he asked.

"A pedicure."

"What's that?"

"That's when you have somebody paint your toenails for you."

I worked at the list some more.

He interrupted. "So, you want, like, a real, entire person?" and he made the hand motions that illustrated gift-wrapping a human being to put under the tree. He even flickered his fingers on top of his head to signify a bow.

"For the pedicure?" I asked.

"Yeah. Do you mean a whole person?"

"No. Just a gift certificate."

"Oh."

Oh man. That's cute. Also, sort of a good idea. Maybe you can get a real, entire person to just stand in your bathroom and give you daily pedictures?

I can definitely see where the confusion would come in. I'd better go add "gift certificate" after "pedicure" on my wish list!

Really if he is willing to go for the entire person to be at your beck and call any time you need a pedicure... might think about it. Then again you would probably have to fee them and clothe them so a gift certificate might be the better option. I love Christmas!!!

Love it. Does he not know how pedicures work?

Someone should totally wrap up a person and put her under your tree. That would be awesome. How funny.

I want a whole person. And she needs to be a chef and a massage therapist too.

I call that good pre-marital training for your son on the art of pleasing your woman. If he knows going into it what a pedicure is and that women want them, he'll be worlds ahead of most newlywedded husbands.
