Putting the Dumb Back in Random

  • I feel like I need to bake something.
  • My toenails are almost healed.
  • My knee hurts.  I've never had knee pain before.
  • Yesterday my kidney hurt.  I'm falling apart.
  • I can't believe summer is finally here.  I've been stalking it for nine months.
  • Perhaps I will take it back someday, but I sort of enjoy the humidity around here.  It feels good on my skin.
  • I have a new obsession with eating dinner on our screened porch.
  • Ryan has a new obsession with reading his ratings on Rate Your Professor.
  • Max has a new obsession with playing War, the longest card game ever invented.
  • Christian's obsessions remain the same.
  • Yesterday Christian was gone all day on a field trip to Washington, DC.  It was so strange to not have him around at all.
  • Yesterday I decided to stop buying the bulk of my wardrobe from Target.
  • The schoolbus just drove by and Christian is still in bed.  He NEVER sleeps in, so he must be tired.
  • No Pilates today.  I'm sad.
  • Must work a lot today.  I've been putting off a project.
  • I never see late night TV anymore.
  • I need to clean out my closet and send the winter clothes down to the depths of the basement.
  • I can't seem to stick to my diet.
  • When I watch good dancers, I feel honored to be a human.
  • I love a good dream sequence on TV.
  • For years, I have wanted to grow lettuce.  The dream is finally being realized.

Target and DI are pretty much the only sources for my wardrobe.

Diets are over rated.

I think Target heard you, and is planning to put a dead fish in your yard....

I've had a toenail healing problem all winter, too.

I read that if you sprayed new shoes with alcohol and then wore them for an hour they would stretch to perfectly fit your feet. I did and they did. However it dyed my toenails black! They've been growing out for months, and now it's time for sandals and I still have gross gray toenails.

I feel validated that other people obsess about their toenails. See how blogging creates a bond?

I want somebody else to do my baking, then their house can heat up to a hundred degrees and I still get the goods. Alas I will be doing the baking and someone else will be eating the goods. My toenails need to be painted in the worst way, but I can't find glitter and I am now obsessed with glitter toes!

My word verif is curem... maybe that is a good sign for your toenails.

I love random posts! I love you! I hate humidity. Could you please arrange to have no humidity in the eastern seaboard in late July? Thanks.

Stop buying the bulk of your wardrobe from Target? That needs to be on my goal list.

I love humidity. Three years in Texas humidity. My skin and hair never felt better. And I was never cold for nine whole months of each year. Of course, that's heat and humidity. Humidity is not so great in the cold.

Tiffany,
I received my wonderful gift basket in the mail today! Thank you so much!!! "A few of your favorite things" are now a few of my favorite things. Love the scarf. . . oops Heidi hijacked it to go to Russia with her. Love the salt water taffy - really yummy flavors. Love the CD - Jesse and you should go professional. Love the bath soap - smells yummy. Thank you for being so fabulous and sharing your humor and insight with the blogging world. Its a better place because of you. Have fun with the John Crowley family. I wish I was coming with them.

I so love your random thoughts. Especially how matter a factly you said that "the school bus just drove by & Christian's still in bed. He must be tired." You said it so calmly.

First of all, I want to go on Christian's field trip! I got to go to Washington D.C. my Junior year and I absolutely loved it. Have you guys been to Williamsburg yet? I would love to take my boys there. Second, nobody sticks to their "diet". If they say they do, they are totally lying. Danny and I went to the smart cookie company the other night and bought 8 cookies. Danny and the boys had one...guess who ate the other 5?! You are not alone!!!

I want to know where you move onto from Target. Do tell.

ps. I just realized I forgot to text you, I'm sorry. I'm out of it. Send an email to both of us stating date-time-place. :)

I planted a pack of random lettuces in my garden two years ago. One variety included, a red leaf, has come back every year since then on its own. This year it is growing in the garden box, in the lawn, and in the neighbor's lawn on the other side of the fence. I should figure out the variety and send it to you. Your wildest imagination of lettuce growing would be fulfilled!
