Three More Things You Must Know

1. I use a lot of exclamation points. I'm very liberal with them. Some people want to teach the world to sing, or buy the world a Coke, but I want to give the world an exclamation point. I don't do the "!!!!" thing and use them in multiples, but I tend to end a lot of sentences in a state of exuberance. Often, I have to go back over something I've written and de-exclaim part of it, so that people don't think I'm sniffing glue. I don't sniff glue. I drink Red Bull. I mean, I drink Red Bull!

2. I'm sort of a loner. I like people, and I love my friends, but at the end of the day I'm a loner. I try to fight it (a little bit, and if I feel like it). Part of the problem is that the three people I enjoy being around the most in this world live under my roof. (Unless I have PMS. In that case, I don't really like anybody and for the love of all things good, don't ask me where the screwdriver is. I DON'T KNOW! I AM NOT THE SCREWDRIVER'S KEEPER!) {ahem} Alright. Where were we?

3. (I also use a lot of parentheses.) (But I don't want to share those with the world.) (They are all for me and my witty asides.) But here, have an exclamation point!

I am a loner too. I just want to be home with my family.

I love that you admitted to watching the tween flicks. Ha!

This is funny!

It sounds like you live out LOUD!!! Nothing wrong with being a loner... the world has more than enough extraverts!

I'm sort of an extroverted loner, is that possible? Also, blogging and emails bring out the superfluous punctuation for me - exclamation points, paranthetical asides. Ooo! Elipses and dashes too :)

Parantheses are the perfect punctuation marks. Some things just need to be said NOW, regardless of being on-topic or not.

Oh Tiffany! How you amuse me! Let me count the ways!

I love exclamation points too! (And parantheses.) (In fact I love the Sienfeld episode where Elaine breaks up with some guy because he didn't use an exclamation point-- it's the best.) It must be why I think you are such a great writer(!).

And here are 2 more things since I didn't get around to commenting on your original three things post:

My house is a complete disaster, because I'm trying to focus on the big rocks (like commenting on blogs).

I make my kids eat multi-grain cheerios while I hide the Fruity Pebbles and eat them in secret.

I wasn't fast enough to comment on your last post, but here are three things you should know about me:

1. I watch Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movies. You know, Passport to Paris, When in Rome. It's shameful I know.

2. Whenever I go to IKEA I have the overwhelming desire to move to a big city and live in a teeny-tiny apartment. They make it look so cool.

3. I buy a family size of Nesquick and go through it all by myself. In my defense, it does take a few months...

Ha! Ha! I love you!!!! And I am totally a loner too!! (I think we might be related!)

you make me laugh! right out loud. it's as simple as that.

I also abuse the exclamation point. It has bugged my brother for years.

I'm an extraverted introvert too; and I am very fond of semicolons.

I overuse ellipsis way too much. You know, the dot dot dot. Which by the way I just had to google to know that, that is what it's called. funny.

And I too am a loner/ total homebody. Infact, I was just thinking how I would just love two full days alone at the computer, without internet. Weird, huh. My desktop and iphoto are a big mess.

i loved your first three things, but today, number TWO made me laugh. hard. and maybe look around to see if anyone was watching... cuz i'm totally a loner in that way! i love being w/ my parents and brothers, and i love being w/ the hubs and kids, and i have two cousins-like-sisters... but other than that, there are not THAT many people i can't live without. that sounds bad, as i'm writing it. i think it's great that so many people have girls nights out, 'dates with self', dinner with neighbors- those things are wonderful, but i would rather be home or with my family... and honestly, sometimes those other things make me uncomfortable.

sometimes i even feel fake when i have 'hello how are you' conversations with people at church.

i need help right?!

I'm content with being a loner as well. (But I just found out that a lot of people know me. More than I thought. I don't know if I should be flattered or creeped out.)

Three things you should know:
1. I wore mismatched socks yesterday. On purpose.

2. I don't like the color orange.

3. I wish I had green eyes.

You are very funny.

I was about to tell you all this really interesting stuff about what the true meaning of introvert and extrovert is, which has nothing to do with talking, like most people think, but then I remembered that you're married to a phsycologist and so I'm sure you already know. (So I'll just shut up). !

I am big on the exclamation point! I think it might be the best grammatical invention ever.

Next to spell check.
